Dear Parents and Carers,
As promised at the end of term, I write to confirm arrangements for children returning to school next week.
We are trying as far as possible to get back to some semblance of normality if we can remember what that looked like! All children will start school at the same time and end at the same time.
In line with current Government guidelines, we would like to continue to encourage parents to maintain distance. As the gates open at 8:45am members of staff will be on each gate and are very happy for parents to leave their child/ren at the gate to be guided to their lines by staff. The children, especially those in Key Stage 2, have become very independent in getting themselves to the right place over the past year.
To enable parents to continue to have some social distance, we are going to be using both gates, the car gate and the pedestrian gate. Parents of children in Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 should use the car gate. Please don’t worry if you have a child in one of the Key Stage 2 classes, as we will be opening the Foundation play area gates to allow pupils to pass through to their lines.
School Day Timings
8:45am |
Gates will open (car gate and pedestrian gate) |
8:50am |
Bell will ring. Foundation children to gather at the fence. |
3.30pm |

At the end of the day, Foundation Stage will be dismissed from their door. Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 will return to their morning lines to be collected by parents and Years 4, 5 and 6 will be released onto the playground to be collected. Children using the Out of School Club will be collected from their classes as usual.
We would appreciate it if you could continue to contact school by phone or email. Office staff will reply to any queries promptly and class based staff will respond once teaching is over for the day. To ensure the health and wellbeing of all, we will continue to respectfully request that parents do not enter the school building, unless invited in by a member of staff.
We look forward to welcoming everybody back to school and working together to have the best year we can.
Yours sincerely,
Angela Nicholl
